Bart Heijnen
Senior associate - Tax adviser

Bart Heijnen

Bart Heijnen, tax adviser, has been working in the Indirect Tax practice of Loyens & Loeff since 2008. He works exclusively in this area, providing practical solutions to client’s indirect tax questions, issues and structures.

About Bart Heijnen

Bart specializes in VAT. He mainly advises large corporations and (semi-)public institutions on the more general and complex VAT issues. In that regard, he frequently advocates on behalf of clients before the tax authorities, for example in case of a tax audit, and has gained broad experience in settling tax disputes, assisting with voluntary disclosures and obtaining advance certainty on VAT related matters. He is a member of the Loyens & Loeff’s German desk and Energy team.

In addition to being a tax adviser, Bart holds a position at Maastricht University and lectures at Nyenrode Business University. He is a frequently asked speaker at seminars and (in-house) training courses and is associated with various professional journals as an author.
