Maria has substantial experience in advising banks and borrowers on various types of financing transactions, in particular: secured lending, real-estate finance, acquisition finance, corporate finance and due diligence, including working on cross-border transactions as lead counsel. Maria frequently advises clients on different restructuring aspects, including working on debt restructuring transactions, insolvency and security enforcements related advice.

Prior to joining Loyens & Loeff Maria spent more than seven years working in a major white-shoe American law firm in the banking and finance department and on secondment with one of the leading investment banks advising on brokerage, derivative and general banking matters.
