Hamza specialises in life sciences and healthcare law and has experience in insolvency law. Hamza has special knowledge of and experience with complex regulatory and contractual matters in relation to the life sciences and healthcare sectors. In particular, he advises clients on (amongst others) matters relating to healthcare purchasing agreements, clinical trials agreements and licensing agreements. Hamza also has extensive litigation experience and regularly represents clients in courts on healthcare and life sciences related matters, such as turnover limit disputes, healthcare reimbursement matters and healthcare purchasing disputes. Hamza regularly lectures on healthcare and life sciences topics.

Recent matters that Hamza has worked on include representing:

• Various large healthcare administration offices in complex healthcare purchasing procedures (in relation to long term care)
• a large healthcare insurer in an important case regarding the impediment criterion
• large healthcare insurers in various legal proceedings regarding healthcare reimbursement
• a medical advisor in disciplinary proceedings
