We assisted Constellation Oil Services Holding S.A. (formerly known as QGOG Constellation) and the other members of Brazil's Constellation group, a Brazilian oil-and-gas drilling company, in its USD 1.5 billion global debt restructuring, including the restructuring of its USD 800 million bonds listed on the NY stock exchange.

The debt restructuring was completed in December 2019, ending more than two years of court proceedings in Brazil, the US and the British Virgin Islands.

Our advice included advice on debt restructuring and restructuring strategy, corporate governance, finance documentation, corporate and capital markets and as well as litigation.

The Loyens & Loeff team was led in Luxembourg by Banking, Finance and Restructuring lawyers Anne-Marie Nicolas (partner) and Richard Steichen (associate) with the support of Corporate M&A lawyers Mathilde Lattard (partner), Diogo Dias (senior associate), Capital Markets lawyers Cedric Raffoul (partner) and Sixtine Auguet (associate) and litigation counsel Farah Jeraj.
The Dutch team of Loyens & Loeff was led by Vincent Vroom (partner, restructuring), Loek Kerstens (counsel, restructuring) and Sharita Willigenburg (associate, finance), with the support of the broader restructuring, finance, capital markets and notarial law teams.
