Gerard Kreijen, attorney at law, co-heads the International Trade & Customs team. He practices in public international law with a particular focus on export controls, economic sanctions, investment treaty protection, and foreign investment controls.

About Gerard Kreijen

Many of Gerards’ clients are typically in the high-tech and innovation industries. He has unique experience with projects in the aerospace, security, and cyber services sectors. Gerard is also appreciated for his in-depth knowledge by clients active in e-commerce, the shipping and logistics sectors, and the automotive industry.

Gerard’s practice covers the jurisdictions of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, but is at the same time firmly entrenched in a wider European and global context through his membership of amongst others [AT+ICA] (the European Association of Trade & Investment Controls & Compliance Attorneys) and GLCA (the Global Legal Customs Association). He is a co-founder of the World Trade Controls blog (in cooperation with ICC Belgium, VBO, and law firm BCLP LLP) and a scientific coordinator of the annual International Chamber of Commerce seminars on EU and US trade controls. Gerard was called to the bar in 1995.
