Tjebbe is an attorney-at-law and a member of both the Dutch Bar Association (NOVA) and the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB). Within the NOB, he serves on the board of the Procedural Law section and is part of the Commissie Knelpunten, a committee that reviews the quality of tax legislation and provides recommendations for improvement.

He is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences and has published extensively on various tax-related topics. Among other contributions, he is a regular annotator for Fiscaal Tijdschrift FED and has co-authored several editions of a book on personal income tax.
