Michiel is part of our Amsterdam corporate and commercial litigation team, focusing on complex cross-border and post-transactional disputes. He advises on shareholder conflicts, directors’ and professional liability, and contractual disputes, inlcuding post-M&A disputes. Michiel regularly appears before Dutch courts, including the Netherlands Commercial Court (NCC), and is well-versed in legal proceedings.

As of July 2025, Michiel is seconded to our London office. Michiel previously worked in the Corporate / M&A team, advising on transactions, governance, and commercial contracts.

Recent matters include representing:
- US clinical research firm in NCC proceedings over synthetic protein trials.
- Brazilian Big Four firm in a post-M&A dispute involving audit issues.
- London broker in a Dutch class action on interest rate manipulation.
- US litigation funder assessing a Dutch mass claim over environmental disasters.
