Gimv, together with founding partner Emile Kuenen and his business partner Stan Vermeulen, sells its stake in the fast-growing Dutch high-quality stroller brand Joolz to Bugaboo, a global market leader in strollers and high-quality juvenile consumer products. This strategic transaction lays the foundation for a global house of complementary, design-driven stroller brands.

Gimv further showed its commitment to the industry by reinvesting part of its proceeds from the Joolz exit into the newly formed Joolz-Bugaboo combination at the transaction’s closing. Gimv will hold a minority stake in the newly formed partnership, alongside majority shareholder Mubadala Capital, Bain Capital, and management.

Since Gimv’s investment in 2016, Joolz has grown into a globally recognised brand, expanding into over 60 countries across Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific. Known for its commitment to sustainable innovation, ergonomic design, and consumer-centric products, Joolz has built a strong reputation among modern families worldwide.

The sale to Bugaboo will allow both brands to accelerate international growth while continuing to operate independently and maintain their distinct identities. Their partnership will help build a unique platform in the juvenile category.
