As part of the transaction, Authentic Brands Group, will own a majority stake of 51% and Guess?’ founder shareholders, Maurice Marciano, Paul Marciano, Nicolai Marciano and Carlos Alberini will own the remaining 49% in a newly formed Swiss entity owning and licensing the Guess? intellectual property and assume the majority of the existing licensing agreements.
This acquisition marks another significant milestone for Authentic. With approximately USD 6 billion in global retail-equivalent sales, Guess? will become Authentic’s second-largest brand, bringing its portfolio-wide annual retail sales to USD 38 billion globally.
