Melle Boevink, attorney at law, is a member of the Litigation & Risk Management Practice Group in our Rotterdam office. He focuses on international arbitration.

About Melle Boevink

Melle advises international and domestic clients in corporate and commercial disputes both in international arbitration proceedings (including ICC, SIAC and NAI) and in proceedings before Dutch state courts (courts of first instance and courts of appeal). Melle has also worked for the Corporate practice group of Loyens & Loeff, where he gained ample experience on corporate law transactions (M&A), shareholders’ and joint venture agreements and general corporate advice to companies and their stakeholders.

Work highlights include representing:

  • An Asian state in annulment proceedings before the court of first instance in The Hague regarding an adverse (partial) arbitral award (UNCITRAL) in an investor-state dispute.
  • A Latin American state-owned company in proceedings before the Dutch state courts involving the enforcement of a USD 1.5 billion ICSID Award rendered against the relevant Latin American State.
  • A state owned joint-venture oil and gas company in a dispute with a subcontractor relating to a construction project.
