Loyens & Loeff Luxembourg advises Astorg-backed SGG, a leading investor services firm, on the acquisition of Augentius
We advised SGG, a Luxembourg-based leading trust, corporate and fund services firm, in the acquisition of Augentius, a leading global provider of alternative investment solutions to the Private Equity and Real Estate communities.

The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval, reinforces SGG Group’s position as the 4th leading investor services firm in the world with the deal growing its assets under administration (AuA) to over USD 400 billion and further strengthens its reach and footprint.
The services offered by Augentius will complement SGG Group’s current funds offering, including a state-of-the-art technological platform and experienced team with the reputation of providing high quality service.
Our tax and corporate teams, led by Jochem van der Wal and Mathilde Lattard, combined their expertise in advising SGG on the acquisition of Augentius. Both teams have acted as long time advisers to SGG Group. Recently, they have also advised SGG on the legal and tax aspects of SGG's acquisitions of First Names Group, Iyer Practice and Lawson Conner.
For more information about the deal, please refer to the client’s website.
