Loyens & Loeff advised Cellularline S.p.A. on the acquisition of WorldConnect AG

Loyens & Loeff advised Cellularline S.p.A. on the acquisition of 80% of the shares in WorldConnect AG against a consideration of CHF 15.8 million. The closing of the deal is expected in the third quarter of 2020.

Through its “SKROSS” and “Q2Power” brands WorldConnect AG, a Swiss company founded in 2002, is a leader in the premium travel adapters market.

Cellularline is a European leader in the smartphone and tablet accessories industry founded in 1990 and listed on the Italian Stock Exchange (Borsa Italiana). The acquisition allows Cellularline to continuously pursue its growth strategy through offering a more extensive product portfolio (including patented products) and complementary international trademarks.

Loyens & Loeff advised Cellularline on all Swiss legal aspects of the transaction. The team is led by Marco Toni and consists of Jana Bieli, Giulia Campbell, Gilles Haudenschild, Nadja Huber, Aron Liechti, Aurélien Pasquier, Gilles Pitschen, Valérie Schrämli and Fabian Sutter. Gatti Pavesi Bianchi acted as Italian counsel to Cellularline.
