Michiel Schul, tax adviser, is a member of the general Tax practice group. He specialises in Dutch and international tax matters relating to acquisition and financing transactions, restructurings, joint ventures and setting up international investment structures for his clients. Michiel also has a lot of experience with advising companies on the tax aspects of setting up their European business activities. His clients are mainly US and Mexican multinationals, particularly in the energy and life science sectors, and US based private equity funds. In addition, Michiel frequently advises on projects in offshore wind in and outside the Netherlands.
Michiel obtained his LL.M. in International Taxation from New York University and worked in the New York office from 2011 to 2013. He is a member of the Region Team U.S. and visits the country on a frequent basis. He is a regular speaker on international tax planning topics at seminars.
