Loyens & Loeff contributes to solutions for 21 century challenges
On 3-5 April during a two day hackathon, 2,000 participants will collaborate to work on the development of sustainable solutions to complex 21st-century challenges. The challenges provided have a global societal and economic impact, each of them tied directly to one or more UN Sustainable Development Goals. They cannot be solved by a single company, industry or state and therefore involve many stakeholders. We provide support to make sure the solutions proposed are legally up to speed.
Starbucks & Fiat cases: new EU framework to enforce arm’s length transfer pricing under State aid rules
On 24 September 2019, the EU General Court upheld the Commission’s decision that Fiat received unlawful State aid from Luxembourg, and at the same time annulled the decision which had found the same with respect to Starbucks in the Netherlands.
