Our finance and real estate teams advised Rabobank on the legal aspects of extending a €200 million green revolving credit facility (RCF) to Bouwinvest Dutch Institutional Residential Fund.

Supporting sustainability and flexibility

The facility gives Bouwinvest additional financial flexibility, enabling it to respond quickly and effectively in a residential market that requires an agile capital strategy. This supports Bouinvest's long-term strategy to rejuvenate and enhance the sustainability of its residential portfolio in urban areas with strong structural demand for rental housing.

EU Taxonomy-aligned assets

The green RCF is secured by EU Taxonomy‑aligned residential assets and therefore qualifies as a green loan. The properties serving as collateral meet the EU Taxonomy’s stringent sustainability criteria, underscoring the portfolio’s commitment to energy efficiency, low CO₂ emissions and long‑term resilience.
