The AI Champions play a role in translating AI from concept into practice by actively testing new solutions, sharing feedback, and acting as a point of contact within their teams. Through regular sessions and live testing, the programme is designed to ensure AI adoption remains practical, responsible and grounded in professional judgement.

A people led approach to AI adoption

A core strength of the AI Champions programme is the diversity of its network. Participants represent a broad cross-section of the firm, both geographically and functionally. The current cohort includes colleagues from 14 different departments, helping ensure that AI adoption is shaped by a wide range of professional roles, perspectives and day-to-day realities across the firm.

Geographically, our Swiss office shows the highest density of AI Champions relative to team size, closely followed by Belgium. Representation across levels of seniority is also evenly spread, with junior, midlevel, and senior colleagues all actively participating.

From strategy to practice

During the kick-off session, AI Champions joined the first live testing sessions, where they explored newly developed tools built using Microsoft Copilot Studio which are designed to support consistency and quality in legal drafting.

The programme also creates a structured forum for sharing insights across teams. Through show-and-tell sessions and collaborative testing, AI Champions help surface practical questions, identify opportunities, and ensure that solutions are designed with real workflows in mind.

Building responsible, sustainable AI

The AI Champions programme reflects the firm’s broader approach to AI and innovationpeople at the centre, clear governance, and a focus on responsible adoption. By empowering colleagues across our firm to actively shape how AI is used, the programme supports a measured and credible approach to innovating, where technology enhances expertise rather than replacing it.

As the programme continues, the network will play a key role in helping AI capabilities evolve in line with professional standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirementsensuring that AI is embedded thoughtfully across the firm.
