This project is particularly significant as it marks the first onshore wind initiative in the Netherlands to reach financial close without SDE++ subsidy, a major milestone for the country’s energy transition. Located in the municipality of Oss, the Elzenburg–De Geer wind park will feature two turbines developed by De Wachtmeesters, delivering clean energy for thousands of households.

What makes this initiative stand out is its community-driven approach: all profits will be channeled into a sustainability fund managed by the municipality of Oss, directly supporting local green projects and ensuring that the benefits of renewable energy flow back to the community.
