World Customs Week breakfast seminar
In recognition of the World Customs Organization’s 2026 focus on Customs protecting society through vigilance and commitment, we are pleased to invite you to the in-person World Customs Week breakfast seminar titled ‘Customs in transition: reflecting on change, preparing for tomorrow’s trade landscape’.
What to expect:
- EU Customs Reform: Gain valuable insights into the reformed Union Customs Code, with initial effects expected in 2026, including a Union-wide handling fee.
- Export Controls: In light of increased scrutiny and today’s geopolitical climate, we will provide an overview of compliance requirements and practical measures to mitigate risks, particularly concerning dual-use items.
- CBAM in Flux: A review and outlook on the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, which will be fully effective from 1 January 2026, including tips and tricks for any compliance issues.
- Customs Liability: Following recent tariff developments in 2025 and those anticipated in the near future, we will focus on key contractual clauses, including the “Change in Law and/or Tax” clause, offering insights to manage contractual risks effectively.
