During this event we will explore the legal and tax implications of distressed real estate transactions, including:

• What happens when a borrower faces financial difficulties and can't repay a facility?
• Consequences of banks enforcing security rights (e.g. mortgages)
• Legal analysis from a right in rem perspective
• Tax implications of distressed deals
• Impact on W&I insurance and insurers
• Other rights and remedies available to creditors 

Additionally, we will discuss the impact on W&I insurance and insurers, and consider the other rights and remedies available to the company’s creditors.
