Cybersecurity, Data & EU Regulation: From regulatory overload to deregulation?
From GDPR to the Data Act, from NIS2 to DORA, the EU has introduced a myriad of obligations for data processing, sharing and portability. What does this mean for legal teams managing risk and compliance?
Together with IBJ/IJE, we are organising an in-person event that will provide a bird's-eye overview of the current EU digital regulatory landscape, as well as insights into the European Commission’s initiatives to “de-regulate” this domain through its omnibus initiative. We will conclude with a panel discussion, bringing together various experiences from in-house lawyers.
Key questions our panel will address:
- How do the various obligations under the EU digital regulatory framework interact?
- What contractual and technical safeguards should in-house lawyers insist on?
- How can you leverage compliance obligations to strengthen trust and business resilience?
