Loyens & Loeff Luxembourg advises Amaggi on USD750 million debut sustainability bonds issuance

We advised the Amaggi Group on its first offering of USD 750 million sustainability bond.

Money Growth - Amaggi deal

Loyens & Loeff Luxembourg S.à r.l. advised the Amaggi Group, the largest Brazilian grain and fiber company, recognised for its socio-environmental commitment, on its offering of USD 750 million aggregate principal amount of 5.250% notes due 2028. This debut cross-border bond issuance by Amaggi was structured as a sustainability bond.

The net proceeds of this offering will be invested to finance a low carbon economy through projects in line with the company’s Socio-Environmental Policy and Global Sustainability Positioning, as well as with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

We acted as Luxembourg legal and tax adviser to Amaggi alongside White & Case, acting as Brazilian and US advisers.

The Loyens & Loeff team was led by capital markets lawyers Cédric Raffoul (Partner) and Sixtine Auguet (Associate) with support of Willem Bon (Partner) and Aline Nunes (Senior Associate), for the tax aspects, and of corporate lawyers Siobhan McCarthy (Partner) and Dalila Delorenzi (Associate).
