Loyens & Loeff advised The Blackstone Group acquires Dream Global

Loyens & Loeff, together with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in London and New York, Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP in Toronto and various other European local counsels, advised funds managed by The Blackstone Group LP on the acquisition of Dream Global REIT ("Dream Global").

New Belgian pledge act confirmed for 1 january 2018

The Canadian real estate investment trust listed in Toronto and Frankfurt holds a pan-European real estate portfolio consisting of over 200 office and light industrial assets located in Germany, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands. A large part of the portfolio is located in the Netherlands, and is under management of Merin. The all-cash transaction is valued at CAD 6.2 bn (appr. EUR 4.2 bn) and is subject to customary conditions. It has closed on 10 December 2019.
