We acted as lead counsel to PKZH on its acquisition of a minority stake in Kallista Energy, together with APG Asset Management, providing fully integrated advice on the legal aspects of the transaction, including structuring, transaction documentation and coordination of the cross-border execution.
The investment marks another important step for PKZH in the expansion of its infrastructure portfolio. It aligns with the pension fund’s long-term investment strategy, which focuses on high-quality infrastructure companies contributing to decarbonisation and the sustainable transformation of the energy system.
Kallista Energy is an established European developer and operator of renewable energy installations. The majority shareholder is APG Asset Management, the largest Dutch pension fund manager.
The transaction further strengthens the collaboration between PKZH and APG. Since 2024, PKZH has been co-investing in infrastructure assets with APG alongside other Swiss pension funds.
