Nanne Kusters
Senior Associate - Attorney at Law
Nanne Kusters, attorney-at-law, is based in our Amsterdam office. Nanne is a member of our regulatory practice, specialising in environmental law, permits and compliance, product regulation, and subsidies.
With extensive experience in both Dutch and European law, Nanne advises and litigates on complex environmental, energy transition, and product regulatory matters. He collaborates closely with clients in the chemical, energy, industrial, and food sectors, providing practical, creative, and commercial solutions for permitting and compliance challenges. Nanne has dealt with matters before a vast number of local and national competent authorities.
In addition to his advisory and litigation work, Nanne has actively participated in numerous transactions with a strong focus on public and environmental law, for which he works closely with consultants and technical experts. His broad background allows Nanne to keep the bigger picture in mind and to come up with pragmatic resolutions for permitting and compliance issues.
Nanne is a contributor to the Chambers Environmental Law Global Practice Guide and the Legal 500 Country Comparative Guide: Environment. In addition, he is a guest lecturer on Administrative Law teaching at Leiden University and at the Law Firm School, and a regular speaker on environmental law and product regulation. He is registered as an environmental law specialist with the Dutch Bar.
