The fundraising exceeded its target, setting a new record for Forbion and ranking among the largest life sciences venture capital fundraisings globally over the past five years, bringing Forbion's assets under management to approximately EUR 7.5 billion.

The raise provides Forbion with significant new capital to deploy through its two newest funds, Forbion Growth Opportunities Fund IV and Forbion Ventures Fund VIII. The two funds combined will have the capacity to provide financing to approximately 30 high-potential portfolio companies, with the first investments already completed.

Our multidisciplinary team acted as lead legal, tax and regulatory counsel throughout the process, supporting Forbion in structuring and executing a coordinated fundraise aligned with an international investor base.

The transaction reflects our long-standing relationship with Forbion, further strengthened by our previous advice on the formation of Forbion BioEconomy Fund I, and underscores our extensive experience advising leading private capital and life sciences investors on complex fundraising, regulatory and tax matters.
