Claire van der Hoeven is a counsel in Loyens & Loeff's Energy & Infrastructure team. She advises energy companies, grid operators, project developers, investors and industrial companies on regulatory and public law matters across the energy and infrastructure sector.
Her practice focuses on energy regulation, public enforcement, permitting, environmental law and spatial planning. She assists clients with the development and operation of energy and infrastructure projects, helping them navigate the legal and regulatory challenges arising from the energy transition, evolving market frameworks and increasing pressure on critical infrastructure.
In addition, Claire advises on the regulatory aspects of mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments and controlled auction processes within the energy sector. She regularly represents clients in negotiations with regulatory authorities and governmental bodies, as well as in proceedings before civil and administrative courts.
Drawing on extensive experience in the Dutch energy market, Claire combines regulatory, transactional and contentious expertise to provide pragmatic and commercially focused advice on complex matters. Clients value her ability to translate regulatory developments into clear strategies and workable solutions.
