The award was received at the ceremony on Thursday 2 July by Michiel Beudeker, Martijn Schoonewille, Joris Beernaert, Nikki Oetomo, and Robin van der Ham.

The award, presented by European Pensions, highlights the strength of the our pensions practice, which operates as a truly European team, bringing together expertise across jurisdictions. The team has a strong track record in complex cross-border matters, particularly involving Belgium and the Netherlands, and advises at the intersection of pensions law, tax, labour law, and financial regulation.

We support our clients on the full spectrum of pensions lawfrom system-wide reforms to restructurings and collective value transfers. The recognition exemplifies how we combine rigorous legal analysis with pragmatic implementation and close engagement with regulators and stakeholders, to deliver solutions that are both legally robust and workable in practice.

Loyens & Loeff also actively contributes to the broader pensions landscape through publications, academic work and industry engagement, supporting consistency and clarity across Europe.

“Pension systems across Europe are undergoing fundamental change, driven by demographic shifts, regulatory developments and growing expectations around sustainability and governance,” says Michiel Beudeker. “We see our role as helping to shape that future, by bringing together law and tax expertise across jurisdictions and contributing to solutions that support resilient and well-governed pension outcomes at a European level.”
