Loyens & Loeff acted as legal counsel to Hasco and Green & Durable Energy with regard to the legal due diligence investigation and drafting/negotiation of the transaction documentation. The core team consisted of Robrecht Coppens, Filip Jorens and Inès Silvestrini.

Hasco Invest has been diversifying its portfolio towards green energy for some time now. Following its participation in Green & Durable Energy in Bilzen and the Dutch Agro-NRG (Ootmarsum), Hasco Invest is now also taking a majority stake in Energreen.

Energreen has become the market leader in Wallonia in installing solar panels, energy storage batteries, charging stations and heat pump boilers. The company achieves a turnover of 30 million euros, has 25,000 customers and carries out some 4,000 installations a year. With this acquisition, they became the market leader in Belgium in one fell swoop.

Stefan Baeten and Alexis Vander Putten on this acquisition:

"Energreen is a fine example of a young Walloon company that in a few years has grown into a company that offers solutions to the challenges the world faces today" says Stefan Baeten, director of Hasco Invest.

"The partnership with Hasco Invest and G&D Group allows Energreen to further develop in the energy transition, which is essential for our society," explains Alexis Vander Putten, founder and shareholder of Energreen. "We can specialize more on offering total solutions to the issue of renewable energy thanks to this partnership. Thanks to Hasco Invest's investment and extensive network, together we will soon be able to respond even faster and better to customer needs in order to continue our growth."
