CESL III has now held its final closing at approximately EUR 3 billion of total investable capital and was oversubscribed, exceeding its initial target of EUR 2 billion. The fund represents a significant increase compared to its predecessor fund, Crescent European Specialty Lending Fund II, which closed at EUR 1.8 billion.
Our team assisted Crescent Capital on Luxembourg-related matters throughout the entire lifecycle of the fund, including structuring and formation, fundraising, fund financing, and closing of the fund.
The fund will continue Crescent’s European specialty lending strategy, focusing on directly originated, private secured debt investments in European middle‑market companies. CESL III operates through a complex, multi-layered sleeve structure designed to accommodate investors’ differing risk-return expectations.
Crescent is a leading global alternative credit investment manager with a long‑standing track record in corporate credit, investing across private and tradeable markets through a disciplined, credit‑driven approach.
