Thomas Lenné is a member of the firm's private equity leadership team and heads the Corporate M&A practice in Brussels. He specialises in private equity and M&A, advising a broad range of Belgian and international sponsors and corporates on Belgian and cross-border transactions.
With more than two decades of experience, Thomas advises clients throughout the investment cycle, from platform and strategic acquisitions and add-ons to portfolio governance, disposals and exits, including in special situations. He acts on both buy- and sell-side mandates, including in competitive auction processes. He advises sponsors on building and realising their portfolios, and corporates on their strategic growth and divestments.
Beyond transactions, Thomas advises boards, shareholders and management teams on corporate governance, shareholder arrangements, management participation and other strategic matters.
He acts across a range of sectors, with particular depth in energy & infrastructure and technology & software, remaining personally involved in each transaction from start to finish and working closely with the firm's tax, regulatory and financing specialists to provide clients with a single, integrated team.
Thomas has been consistently ranked by Chambers & Partners Global and Europe and by The Legal 500, which recognises him as a Leading Individual in Corporate/M&A. He has also twice been named Belgian M&A Lawyer of the Year in the Client Choice Awards.
