Besides studying Business Law in Leiden, Raz is an ambassador at the Netherlands Asia Honours Summer School (NAHSS) and secretary at the Foundation Leiden Honours Community. Furthermore she is an ambassador at Mr. Studenten, writing articles for law students on legal developments and focussing on the labour market.
Raz impressed the jury with her sharp analysis of the challenges related to diversity and inclusivity that exist in the legal sector and the concrete ideas she sees as solutions. 'In a very natural manner, she links personal experience to professional ambitions and identity. Raz is not afraid of letting her authentic voice be heard, but in doing so she is constantly conscious of creating room for the voices of others. As a result Raz is the winner of the Loyens & Loeff Law & Tax Award.'
Every year, Diversity Policy Expertise Center ECHO presents the ECHO Awards. The ECHO Award’s aim is to generate positive attention for individual successes of multicultural students. The winners, who were announced by Secretary General Marjan Hammersma, received a fully catered summer course at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in Los Angeles.
