Michael will lead the firm’s fund regulatory advice offering as part of a strengthened and more closely integrated regulatory capability alongside the fund formation team. This development reflects a broader firmwide effort to further enhance the firm’s end-to-end service offering for investment managers.

With this step, Loyens & Loeff continues to invest in its growth and in building out its regulatory expertise to complement its established strengths in fund structuring and formation.

Michael focuses on the licensing and regulatory maintenance of Luxembourg-based alternative investment fund managers, as well as regulatory aspects of fund distribution. As a lawyer with a consultancy background, he is uniquely positioned to render legal advice with a strategic angle to support business growth.

He is an experienced adviser who has supported leading US and EU fund sponsors in structuring their Luxembourg fund management operations.

Commenting on his appointment, Michael said:
“Clients are looking for clarity and efficiency in a complex regulatory landscape. My aim is to help them move forward with confidence by providing practical and solution-oriented advice.”

Through this appointment and the continued integration of its regulatory and fund formation capabilities, Loyens & Loeff further strengthens and accelerates its ability to support clients on complex, multi-jurisdictional investment management matters.
