Lieke van der Velden is a recognised leading Corporate / M&A lawyer with more than 30 years of experience advising domestic and international clients on complex corporate transactions and strategic matters.
She works closely with senior executives and boards on significant transactions and critical corporate decisions, combining deep transactional expertise with first-hand leadership experience.
Lieke van der Velden advises Dutch and international clients on complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, management buy-outs and other strategic transactions. Before joining Loyens & Loeff, Lieke spent more than three decades at a prominent law firm in the Netherlands, where she held several senior leadership positions alongside her client practice. From 2017 to 2022, she served as Global Head of Corporate M&A, leading the firm’s international corporate practice. From 2022 to 2025, she was Managing Partner while continuing to advise clients.
The combination of transactional expertise and senior leadership experience gives her a strong understanding of the commercial and strategic considerations clients face at pivotal moments.
Lieke is a frequent speaker at international corporate conferences, such as the annual corporate M&A conferences of the International Bar Association in New York and Paris.
