Kwinten joined Loyens & Loeff following the completion of his doctoral research on export controls and intangible technology transfers. His practice focuses on international trade and strategic trade law, including export controls and economic sanctions. He advises clients on navigating complex regulatory frameworks affecting cross-border trade, technology transfers and compliance obligations.

In addition to his legal practice, Kwinten is a visiting professor in International Company Law and Comparative Economic Law at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). He also remains affiliated with KU Leuven as a Research Fellow.

Kwinten is the author of the book "Dual-Use Technology Transfers" and has (co-)authored several publications in the fields of strategic trade law, international company law and international contract law.
