The portfolio comprises 125 mid-rent apartments and 168 unregulated rental units, distributed across three residential buildings in Merwede Bloom Zuid, a development by Orion Investment Partners in collaboration with Boelens de Gruyter and G&S&. Construction is being carried out by Wessels Zeist and Wessels Rijssen (part of VolkerWessels). Merwede is development into a green, car-free residential and working district with approximately 6,000 homes and high-quality bicycle and public transport connections. This makes it one of the largest inner-city housing developments in the Netherlands.

We assisted throughout the transaction, including the purchase agreement, the turnkey development agreement and the transfer. We advised on legal title, construction, zoning and tax aspects of the project.
