She has broad experience in all types of specialised financial transactions, ranging from asset finance to public and private debt issues, derivatives and asset management, and, in particular, on securitisations and structured finance. She has held various positions ranging from in-house legal counsel to attorney and is also deputy judge at the court of appeal Arnhem-Leeuwarden.

Mariëtte has published several articles on civil law aspects of financing transactions and is coauthor of a book on securitisation in the Netherlands.
