Loyens & Loeff launches Tech Academy
Large-scale roll-out of technological training programme.
Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 22 October 2018 – Today marked the launch of the Loyens & Loeff Tech Academy. Within a timespan of 18 months, 300 people working in the Loyens & Loeff offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland will be trained in technologies such as blockchain and smart contracts. The firm-wide Tech Academy will offer both online and offline courses.
A future-proof firm
As it stands, Loyens & Loeff already offers new hires an extensive onboarding process. This programme, which is referred to as the Introduction Academy, allows them to get to know the firm. The Tech Academy will be an add-on. Associates and corporate support officers in departments such as IT, HR and Communications & Marketing will also be invited to attend the Tech Academy. By rolling out the Tech Academy across the organisation, Loyens & Loeff offers all its people the opportunity to learn about technological developments and form groups to come up with new ideas for our clients.
Investing in knowledge
Bram Linnartz, Managing Partner of Loyens & Loeff: “New developments, such as blockchain and artificial intelligence, are changing the way we work. They cause our clients to ask questions about responsibility, jurisdiction, duty of care and potential risks. If we want to stay ahead of the game, we need to make sure that we can continue to offer our clients the best tax and legal services in those areas too. This calls for investments in technology, partnerships and the knowledge of our people. Legal & Tech and Talent Development are and will continue to be priorities for Loyens & Loeff.”
