Loyens & Loeff Best Employer in the Netherlands for the second time

On Monday 22 June, our firm was voted Best Employer to work for in 2009. With an employee satisfaction score of 8.4, Loyens & Loeff came out top in the large-organisation category (more than 1000 employees) in the Netherlands. This makes us proud. Our score is much higher than that of average Dutch organisations (7.1). The Best Employer survey was compiled by the research bureau Effectory and Volkskrant Banen following a survey of 263 organisations.

Chairman of the Board Pim Bertels is delighted and surprised by the award. "Delighted because that means last year's best employer award was no coincidence. And surprised because we scored even higher in every category, according to our employees." What's the secret? "As a firm that provides services, we are geared towards quality and empowering our employees to deliver their best. We achieve that by creating the kind of corporate culture that stimulates people to give their best shots. The freedom, entrepreneurship and employee individuality, those are the qualities that we rate highly."

The survey

February saw the start of our participation in the employee satisfaction survey run by Effectory and Volkskrant Banen. Effectory took a random poll of 300 employees working in Dutch firms, asking them what their opinions were on their corporate culture, type of work, managers, working conditions and potential for personal growth. More than 54% of the people selected from Loyens & Loeff took part in the survey.
