Loyens & Loeff legal partner Odyssey 2020
For the 3rd time in a row, Loyens & Loeff is legal partner of the Odyssey program. This organisation focuses on new solutions to complex 21st-century challenges. Challenges that have a global societal and economic impact, each of them tied directly to one or more UN Sustainable Development Goals and cannot be solved by a single company, industry or state and therefore involve many stakeholders.
During a two day online hackathon on 13-15 November 2,000 participants will collaborate to work on the development of sustainable solutions that impact a variety of industries and make their mark on i.e. the energy transition, public safety, nature conservation, and digital identity. Participants come from around the world will share their knowledge, creative minds and solution driven approach. They are supported by over 300 experts. As legal partner Loyens & Loeff provides legal and tax support with a team of 20 professionals.
The 2020 Odyssey challenges were contributed (among others) by: Vattenfall, Enexis, KLM Cargo, UMCG, Engie, Dutch National Police, Dutch Blockchain Coalition, Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, City of The Hague, City of Groningen, Dutch Ministry of Defence and the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
