About Mark van Casteren

Mark van Casteren is a tax partner, who heads the Transfer Pricing & Economics group in our Amsterdam office. The Transfer Pricing & Economics group services clients on pricing issues all over the world, not just within Loyens’ 4 home markets.

Mark has a strong focus on North American clients. After becoming a partner in 2001, he headed Loyens & Loeff’s New York office from 2001 until the end of 2005. Since 2016 he focuses primarily on all pricing aspects of MNE’s and internationally operating investment funds, including the pricing of intra-group services, financing transactions (including cash pooling arrangements), guarantees, business restructurings and all questions related to the application of the arm’s length principle. Mark also deals with APA applications and he is a very experienced negotiator with the tax authorities on pricing issues. He also renders second opinions on transfer pricing issues and helps to resolve transfer pricing disputes. Finally, he also oversees our pricing documentation and compliance practice.
