Jop van der Kraan

Jop van der Kraan, attorney at law, is a member of the Litigation & Risk Management Practice Group in our Rotterdam office. He focuses on (international) litigation and arbitration in the field of corporate law, contract law and accounting law.

About Jop van der Kraan

Jop works on complex cases in international settings. He works on matters for, among others, investors and international corporates. Jop was seconded to our Singapore office and is active in our Region Team Asia Pacific and regularly visits this region.

Jop has substantial experience in international arbitration cases and cases before relevant Dutch courts, including the Enterprise Chamber.

Jop is a lecturer on company law at the Nyenrode Business University and a guest lecturer at Leiden University, Erasmus University Rotterdam and University Utrecht. Jop is completing his PhD-thesis at Leiden University. The subject of his comprehensive study involves property law, contract law, company law and accounting law.

Work highlights include representing:

  • an oil and gas company in a shareholders dispute before SIAC
  • an international conglomerate in a joint venture dispute before SIAC
  • a shareholder in an international company in a shareholders dispute before the Dutch Enterprise Chamber.

  • Master degree in Dutch law, Radboud University Nijmgen (2011)
