Carlijn van Dooren, attorney at law, is a member of the Litigation & Risk Management practice group in our Amsterdam office. She focuses on corporate law and liability law, including corporate litigation and professional liability.

About Carlijn van Dooren

Carlijn advises and litigates on class actions, shareholder disputes, warranties & indemnities, directors’ liability, professional liability, financial statements and commercial contracts. Carlijn has substantial experience in litigating high-stake cases before relevant Dutch courts, including summary judges, district courts and courts of appeal, and more specifically the Enterprise Chamber. Carlijn works on cases for financial institutions, private equity firms, directors, professionals (accountants, attorneys, notaries and arbitrators) and their professional liability insurers.

Carlijn regularly teaches on legal subjects relating to her practice.

Work highlights include representing:

  • a financial institution in a class action pending in the Netherlands
  • a private equity firm regarding a triggered indemnity
  • a professional and its professional liability insurer in a tort suit
