The Loyens & Loeff Energy Team has once again been top ranked by Chambers & Partners

On 7 March 2019 the Chambers & Partners independent ranking directory on law firms released their 2019 Europe rankings.

Don't give us a hot spring but a warm HR-policy

We are proud to share that both our Belgium Energy Team and our Netherlands Energy Team have been ranked again as a Band 1 law firm in the Energy and Energy & Natural Resources (Regulatory) categories respectively. Our Netherlands energy transactional capabilities received a Band 2 recognition for a consecutive year.

This year four of our Energy Team members have received (well-deserved) individual recognitions. The Chambers review reads:

Thomas Chellingsworth (Belgium):"He is always attentive to the wishes of the clients," affirms a source, also adding: "We particularly appreciate his meticulous work."

Jan-Willem Van Rooij (Netherlands) is described by interviewees as an "exceptional deal co-ordinator and adviser."

Max Oosterhuis (Netherlands) earns respect from market commentators for his extensive regulatory expertise in the energy space. He especially advises a range of energy producers and distributors on regulatory issues. He assisted Raedthuys Zon with the development of a 22 MW solar rooftop system at the Tata Steel factory in IJmuiden.

Roland de Vlam (Netherlands) focuses on regulatory issues in the energy and mining sectors, with strong experience in renewable energy. He acted for Stedin Netbeheer on disputes against Chemours Netherlands concerning the ownership of transformers.

Throughout the years, the Loyens & Loeff Energy Team has been consistently ranked by Chambers & Partners Europe as a leading firm in Belgium and the Netherlands.

We would like to thank our clients for their trust in our energy practice as well as their recommendations!
