Redmar Damsma, attorney-at-law, is a member of the Competition & Regulatory practice group and the Energy Team. He specialises in (European) public procurement law, general law of contracts, European law and regulatory health care law.

About Redmar Damsma

Redmar specialises in (European) public procurement law, general law of contracts, European law and regulatory health care law. He has a detailed knowledge of, and experience with, procurement procedures and advising government bodies in this area. He has advised on public procurement law in various sectors in the past few years (alternately acting on behalf of (semi)government bodies and on behalf of private parties). This entailed, amongst others, supervising (complex) procurement procedures for various contracting authorities and conducting litigation related to (the outcomes of) procurement procedures. In addition, he regularly advises health care providers, health care insurers and other parties involved in the health care sector on various matters related to contractual issues and/or the complex Dutch and European healthcare regulations.

Redmar is a member of the Loyens & Loeff Energy Team. Hij regularly advises network companies, energy distributors and other parties active in the energy sector on contractual and procurement law. Het is especially active in the renewable energy sector and has vast experience dealing with complex projects such as warmth networks, windmill parks and solar parks.

Redmar teaches courses regularly and publishes on his areas of expertise.

Redmar is co-author of the book 'Building in the Netherlands’. This publication is intended to be a handy overview of the most important legal and tax facets of and for Dutch building and development practice. The publication is the result of a joint effort made by various Loyens & Loeff attorneys-at-law, tax advisers and civil law notaries in different disciplines, who pooled together their expertise and experience. Redmar is also a member of the Loyens & Loeff Project Development Team.
