Loyens & Loeff appoints four new partners

New partners stimulate growth and innovation

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 17 December 2018 – Loyens & Loeff has invited Robrecht Coppens, Antoinette van der Hauw, Guido Koop and Michiel Schul to join the firm as partners with effect from 1 January 2019. With the appointment of these 4 new partners, Loyens & Loeff continues to focus on its growth and international integration of tax and legal.

Robrecht Coppens (1984), attorney at law, is a member of the Corporate/M&A practice group in Belgium. He focuses on mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. Robrecht has developed extensive expertise in private equity transactions and is recognised in this sector as a next generation lawyer by The Legal 500 EMEA (2018). Clients appreciate his professional savvy combined with a pragmatic, no-nonsense approach and his commercial attitude. As Robrecht is passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation, and as he heads the Loyens & Loeff Startup Team, he is also involved in venture capital transactions and provides support to start-ups.

Antoinette van der Hauw (1985), attorney at law, is a member of the Corporate/M&A practice group. She specialises in mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures with a focus on private equity transactions and management participations. Antoinette also has extensive experience in the field of warranty & indemnity insurance. Over the past years, Antoinette has been involved in several high-profile M&A transactions and represented reputable private equity investment companies and management teams in their buying and selling activities. Clients appreciate Antoinette for her astuteness, creativity and hands-on approach.

Guido Koop (1976), attorney at law, is a member of the Competition & Regulatory practice group. He specialises in the public-law side of property developments and real estate transactions, and assists Dutch and international investors and developers in their development activities and acquisitions. He also provides regulatory compliance and enforcement services to clients from various sectors, both at law and otherwise. Guido is appreciated by his clients for his practical approach and his capacity for combining his knowledge of the private and public sectors.

Michiel Schul (1981), tax adviser, is a member of the International Tax practice group and mainly advises US-based multinationals and private equity funds on the tax aspects of their international investment structures. His clients mostly operate in the energy and life sciences sectors. Michiel is a member of the US region team and regularly speaks about international tax law at conferences. Clients appreciate Michiel for his astuteness, creativity and proactive approach.
