Under this cross-border programme, a Luxembourg securitisation fund issues notes which are backed by trade receivables (relating to diamonds) originated by various entities from the Diarough Group. The programme has several innovative features. The Loyens & Loeff  team assisted with all Luxembourg and Belgian related aspects, including the establishment of the securitisation fund, the structuring of the transaction and the preparation of the relevant transaction documents.

Diarough Group is one of the world’s leading diamond manufacturers and it launched the diamonds backed securitization programme in order to obtain an alternative source of financing.

The Belgian team consisted of Marc Vermylen, Sarah Libregts and Mathias Diricx.

The Luxembourg team consisted of Vassiliyan Zanev, Natalja Taillefer, Sarah Ambulante and Andres Montana.
