More specifically, to contribute to research on personalized and tailor made treatment for cancer patients. The Life Sciences Team of Loyens & Loeff congratulates all participants and the organization of the event on this result!

For the 7th consecutive year, the Stelvio For Life Charity Event was organized on September 1st 2018. During this event, participants raise funds by running, cycling or hiking up the impressive mountain pass Passo dello Stelvio in Italy. The climb covers a distance of 21,1 km over a total elevation of 1,533 meter.

All funds raised by the participants fully benefit the Barcode for Life Foundation. This foundation exclusively raises funds for the Center for Personalized Cancer Treatment (CPCT). CPCT is conducting research to identify the most effective treatments for cancer patients while minimizing the side effects. CPCT aims to offer every cancer patient personalized and tailor made treatment, based on the genetic properties of the patient’s tumor.

This year, the Life Sciences Team (only) donated funds to the Stelvio For Life Charity Event, but we aim to participate to the Stelvio For Life Charity Event and present a team that will take the challenge to run, cycle or hike up the mountain pass next year!
