Impact of the Dutch 2019 Budget

The Dutch government published important tax measures in its 2019 budget proposals with a potentially significant impact on the Dutch buyout sector.

European Commission scrutinises competition issues in bank loan syndication

On 15 October 2018 the Dutch government announced that its initial budget proposals of 18 September 2018 will be revised. The Dutch dividend withholding tax will not be abolished as proposed earlier. The introduction of a new conditional withholding tax on dividends will be reconsidered, whereas the introduction of a new withholding tax on interest and royalties to low-tax and EU blacklisted jurisdictions is still planned for introduction as of 2021.
