New Belgian legislation on second pillar pension scheme for self-employed persons approved

Amsterdam, 12 December 2014 - Herman Kaemingk, a partner in Loyens & Loeff’s Amsterdam department of the Corporate Law practice group, was named Best M&A Lawyer Mid Market at the 15th edition of the annual presentation of the Dutch M&A Awards on Thursday, December 11, 2014. Kaemingk won the award for the eighth time.

Herman Kaemingk: ”It is a great honour to win this M&A Award for the eighth time, especially in this year in which Loyens & Loeff is again topping the list of firms that are most often engaged in mergers and acquisitions in the Netherlands. This is only made possible by the trust we receive from our clients year after year, and the dedication and professionalism of the lawyers, civil law notaries and tax specialists with whom we work together in mergers and acquisitions. Especially the latter distinguishes Loyens & Loeff from other firms, and the market recognizes and appreciates this.”

The winners of the M&A Awards are those lawyers who were involved in the largest and most attractive deals in 2014. They were elected by a group of influential professionals who have worked in the field for at least ten years. Thus, the M&A Awards are representative for the top in M&A, corporate finance and private equity.
