Chambers Guide Investment Funds 2021 – Belgian Chapter

Vanessa Marquette, Nicolas Bertrand, Eveline Hellebuyck and Sara De Moor wrote the Belgian chapter of the Chambers Global Practice Guide on Investment Funds 2021.

In this contribution our team of experts provides an overview of the fundamental legal, tax and regulatory considerations relating to the establishment and operation of investment funds in Belgium. Amongst others they discuss the structures typically used by investment funds, the regulatory framework for those funds, any significant operational requirements, how the funds may be marketed and the tax treatment for both the fund itself and investors.

Our Dutch and Luxembourg colleagues contributed to the chapters for their respective jurisdictions.

If you have any questions on this publication or the establishment or operation of investment funds in Belgium, you are welcome to contact the authors.
